Profile
Edel is a fully qualified humanistic and integrative psychotherapist and is pre accredited member of Irish Association of Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy (IAHIP) and adheres to their Code of Ethics and Practice. Edel started has worked with clients with a range of presenting issues.

Edel has an undergraduate degree in pharmaceutical science and previously worked in quality control within the pharmaceutical industry. Edel is also a fully qualified Pilates teacher in both mat and reformer Pilates and has a keen interest in understanding how trauma and stress impacts the body.

Approaches

Edel works from a humanistic and integrative approach which allows her to tailor her approach to meet the specific needs of each client. A fundamental aspect to this approach is trusting that the client is the expert in their own life. As individual’s we each have the innate drive to reach our full potential. Edel works to establish a collaborative relationship with her clients that is based on safety, trust, congruence, empathy and non-judgment. Edel provides clients with a safe space where they can begin exploring who they are and what is causing them distress. Edel’s training has been informed by humanistic, integrative, gestalt, existential and somatic schools of psychotherapy.
